At ODYSSEY®, we design and build gear to be used, properly, often, and in real environments. This warranty outlines what we cover, what we don’t, and how we support you if something isn’t right.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under ACL.

ODYSSEY® Warranty Coverage

ODYSSEY® warrants its products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and for their intended purpose.

Warranty periods apply from the original date of purchase and are non-transferable, unless otherwise stated.

Warranty Periods

  • Moto Dock® & Dock Mounts
    10 years — structural and manufacturing defects only

  • Cover-All® Awning Frames
    10 years — structural and manufacturing defects only

  • Canvas Products (bags, storage, swags)
    10 years

  • Accessories & Hardware
    12 months unless otherwise specified

What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers:

  • Structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Weld failure due to workmanship
  • Material defects under normal use

If a valid claim is approved, ODYSSEY® will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product
  • Provide a suitable alternative or remedy

What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

Normal Wear, Corrosion & Environmental Exposure

Steel behaves differently depending on the material and environment.

ODYSSEY® products are available in powder-coated mild steel and stainless steel configurations, depending on the product.

Powder-Coated Mild Steel

Mild steel components are powder-coated to slow corrosion, not eliminate it. Over time, cosmetic changes and corrosion may occur, particularly in harsh, coastal, or high-moisture environments.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Rust or corrosion
  • Paint or powder-coat damage
  • Chips, scratches, abrasion, or fading
  • Corrosion caused by environmental exposure

These conditions are considered normal wear and tear, not manufacturing defects.

Powder-coated Stainless Steel

Stainless steel offers increased corrosion resistance but is not corrosion-proof.

Depending on environmental conditions, stainless steel may experience:

  • Surface staining or discolouration
  • Tea staining, particularly in coastal or industrial environments

These cosmetic changes do not affect structural integrity and are not considered manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic staining or discolouration
  • Environmental corrosion or surface contamination

Use, Installation & Modification

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation or fitment
  • Use outside the product’s intended purpose
  • Overloading or misuse
  • Accidents, impacts, or collision damage
  • Lack of reasonable maintenance
  • Alterations, modifications, or unauthorised repairs

Partner & Third-Party Products

Some ODYSSEY® products may include components supplied by third-party manufacturers (such as lighting or electrical accessories).

These components are covered solely by the original manufacturer’s warranty.

ODYSSEY® does not provide warranty coverage for third-party products but may assist by directing customers to the appropriate manufacturer where required.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact ODYSSEY® with proof of purchase
  2. Provide clear photos and a detailed description of the issue
  3. Do not return products without prior approval

All claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

ODYSSEY® reserves the right to inspect the product before approving a claim.

Shipping & Labour

  • Customers are responsible for freight costs associated with warranty claims unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Labour costs for removal, installation, or reinstallation are not covered unless required under Australian Consumer Law

Final Notes

This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from ODYSSEY® or from an authorised ODYSSEY® retailer.

Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
